Celebration of Life for James "Jim" Leo Joseph White - Interment Services

It is with broken hearts to announce after a long courageous battle with cancer of eight years, Jim lost his fight on January 23rd, 2021 at his home in Belle River surrounded by his family. Born in Windsor, Jim was the son of Eleanor White (nee Dupuis). Pre-deceased by his father John White (2017). Beloved husband of 23 years to Amanda Rosevear. Loving father to Gary (Misty), Brian, Kevin and Laura (Zack). Adored `papa’ to Hailey-Lynn and Marcus, `fur papa’ to Lola. Dearest big brother to Wayne (Michelle) and Allan (Pauline). Son in-law to William Rosevear (2016) Joyce and David (2012) Whitaker. Brother-in-law to Mark Rosevear. Best friend to Bill & Rita Dubreuil, Alex & Helen Tang, Donnie & Gina Connell, Charlie & Debbie Papia and Doug & Pam Davis. Jim will be missed deeply by his nephews, nieces, aunts & uncles, cousins and friends. Jim was a goaltender, a bowler, and a stock car driver at Checker Flag #23, hockey coach and #13 was always lucky. Jim worked at the GM Transmission plant for 30 years, he opened a family business with his brothers in Belle River; White’s Fresh Meat and Deli where he worked for 16 years. He loved to spend time with family and friends, travelling, going to the casino, movies, watching hockey, football and horse racing. Jim always kept a positive attitude, for a man that was fighting cancer for eight years he never had a negative thought towards life which was very inspiring to many that knew him. Jim had a smile that could light up a room and had a laugh that got everyone around him laughing. The family would like to thank Dr. Soong, Dr. Matthews at the cancer clinic, Dr. Rukavina at Hospice of Windsor, the nurses at St. Elizabeth Health Care; Sarah, Laura, David and Tiphany and all the doctors and nurses who helped him the past eight years.
